1. Shipping Rate

1.1 Weight

Generally, shipping costs are calculated using carriers’ billing formulas: some use actual (gross) weight, some use volumetric (dimensional) weight, and others take the larger of the two.

– Gross weight includes the product and packaging weight.

– Dimensional weight (for optimizing larger/lighter items like pillows) is calculated as: kg = length × width × height (cm) ÷ 5000.

– Chargeable weight is the larger of gross or dimensional weight, rounded up to the nearest kilogram.

Example (UK shipment):

A package with dimensions 200cm × 30cm × 15cm and actual weight 30.2kg:

– Dimensional weight = (200×30×15) ÷ 5000 = 18kg.

– Gross weight rounds up to 31kg.

– Since 31kg > 18kg, the chargeable weight is 31kg.

CIRRO offers multiple carriers for comparison. For details, refer to the shipping rate sheet or consult your account manager.

1.2 Dimension Limitation Rule

The volume requirements restricted by each carrier are different.

Specifically, you can refer to the volume limitations indicated on the shipping rate sheet of the shipping method.

1.3 Shipping Zones

Each carrier has its own distinct zone charts. They take into account the shipping origin and the receiving destination to determine different shipping zones.

Generally speaking, the more shipping zones your order traverses, the higher the shipping rate will be.

1.4 Delivery Timeline

Different shipping methods have different Delivery Timeline. Generally speaking, the faster the Delivery Timeline, the higher the corresponding shipping cost.

You can also check in the shipping rate sheet of CIRRO and compare to find the most suitable product for you. If you need any advice, you can ask our account manager.

1.5 Shipping Methods

To offer you the most suitable shipping solution, CIRRO provides a diverse range of shipping methods—each with distinct pricing structures. Even for orders shipped from CIRRO to the same destination using the same shipping method, additional service options can affect costs.

For instance, if Service A includes a signature-on-delivery feature while Service B does not, Service A may incur a higher cost than Service B.

  1. Active Carrier Surcharges

Active Carrier Surcharges typically refer to shipping-related additional fees. Carriers may impose such surcharges on CIRRO at any time to cover extra costs, including (but not limited to) oversize/overweight handling fees, rural/delivery area surcharges, address correction fees, peak season surcharges, and fuel fees. Fee differences may arise from unexpected surcharges or inaccuracies in order weight/dimensions.

Carrier surcharges are passed on monthly based on CIRRO’s received invoices. CIRRO initially covers these fees to ensure smooth order transportation, with costs later recovered from you.

2.1 All of these will be indicated on the shipping rate sheet. If you wish to learn more about surcharges, you can:
